Default Getting back together

Well, it looks like the band is getting back together for one show at the end of Aug. One of the big events we played last year begged us to play it again. Sounds like everyone is in, including the great drummer.

Good news, Monte. Something to look forward to. Who's in the regular line-up? Y'all live within a hoot 'n' a holla of each other to rehearse? We need details.

Well, here's the short history-

Butch- Lead guitar/vocals

Justin-guitar/mando/bass/vocals

And I -Bass/guitars/keys (rarely)/vocals

have been together since the beginning.

The first drummer, who was good, lasted two gigs and dropped out due to family and distance.

My brother lasted about a year or so and dropped out due to distance and injury.

The next drummer, who left a bit to be desired, was with us for about 9 months and dropped out due to injury and not being invited back.

The current drummer we worked with filled out last summer and fall's bookings before we split so Butch and I could heal up from surgeries. We still don't know if anything will happen beyond the one-off reunion, but we'll have fun!

The drummer and I are about 3 miles from each other, and the other two are about 3 miles from each other. The problem is there's 40 miles between the two towns so, we make rehearsals long.

This thread inexplicably slipped off the bottom of the page which used to feature no less than 10 topics. Here it is again for those interested in your band's line-up and your up-coming reunion booking this month.

Yeah, I've been wondering about this. Is the reunion still on, Monte? Planning to work any surprises into the set list?

I might. We first need to make sure we remember the old stuff!

Your silence on "Getting back together" seems to suggest it didn't happen. That's a shame, Monte, when the venue wanted a repeat performance of your band so much. We can only assume the unavailability of one or two of you or the state of your health - hopefully not the latter. Wishing you well, buddy!

Actually, it went very well! We even had the original lineup, including my brother on drums. He had a surgery similar to the one I had and was on top of his game! We all meshed well and it felt really good. It may even lead to more...
