'The Verythin Custom is a development of the 60's three pick-up Verythin 4575. Featuring hand carved sustain block, ebony fingerboard, three Höfner 'Diamond' mini-humbuckers for extended tonal variations (see below), volume and tone controls and 3 way pick-up switch. Flamed maple body with spruce top, sunburst finish. Incl. Höfner Deluxe case.

Control Functions: Master volume controls output volume of the guitar. Two tone controls for the neck and bridge position with a centre notch (position 5 = neutral). Works as a conventional tone control from 0-5. Blends in the middle pickup from 5-10.

I love the look of those Hofners. I've never played that particular model but I'd wager that it's fantastic.

Hey, is there anything these Hofner Verythins can't do? From semi-acoustic finger-style (Trace!) to Shred Rock to Blues to Jazz... If you can hang in there through this first guy's "zany" intro for several sample styles, then into the second guy's demo, well, you be the judge. Just how true to the original the model is and whether it has a tailpiece or internal sustain block seems to dictate the wide variation in price. All are classic and classy IMO.
