The friendships based around music usually are the strongest. Knowing my personality, I probably wouldn't have hung around the two guys I played with in High School. One was from a strict Mormon family, and the other was a big hick. Had it not been for music, I probably wouldn't have gotten to know them at all. We ended up being great friends, but the reason we got to know each other was music.
Too bad about your friends that were lost. Not only is it a loss because of their talent, but just because they were good friends.

I agree. Ed (my singer), his Dad use to play with Bob Wills and Frankie Mc Cormick down around Beaver, OK. That would be in the Panhandle area.
