Apparently it's time to stick a fork in Gear Goggle.

It may be.

Where the hell is everybody?

jeffed linked to GG's page. Love the new graphics and soundclips. And speaking of Mr. jeffed, are you still banging away on the Penguin? Monte, what's new with you? And where's Danster these days? If I were a betting man I'd make a small wager that he got lost in all that gear he's been buying.

Plenty new here but most of it has been a string of bad luck and bad news. But on the brighter side, I went and bought myself a new toy. (Just before the sh1t hit the proverbial fan.) It's the most I've ever dropped on gear but it's worth every damned penny.

2007 Fender Artist Series J Mascis Jazzmaster.

I was tempted to buy a few of the new Squier VMs (Jags, Jazzmasters and Mustangs) but I've wanted one of these since their debut in '07. Never really cared for Jazzmasters but this one is one of the rare exceptions.

So? Everyone else?

Banging away on the Godin, J i m m y. The Penguin has flown - into the hands of a better player. I lost money but gained a quality experience.

That Jazzmaster will look good on you. Congrats!

Regards to Monte and all the best with the reunion event next month.

Oh, geez. That's a shame that the Penguin's gone. (From my perspective anyway.)

Not any huge news here. I'm just getting over a small flare, but it's resolving nicely.

I've been playing quite a bit a church, DJing a bit, and Emceeing a lot. Emceeing is great work. I guess a lot of people just don't like to talk as much as I do. The radio experience and auctioneering has paid off.

I'll be getting some recording equpment coming in next week. The heart is a Zoom R8. It should be a good unit. I chose it because it can do everything on its own, but also function with the computer and programs.

That's about it. Hope everything settles down for ya, Jimmy.

Nothing to it, my man. Watching the paint dry. It's been a wet summer so exterior painting has been slow. It's premature but I'm thinking the Mascis may be a keeper...at least for a while. I love when new gear is so exciting that you can't put it down.

What about you, jeffed? What's new in the land of OZ?

We're in a state of national grieving right now over our swimmers not doing as well as usual at the Olympics. (Sob!)

Australia's line of sight with Mars had/has us playing a crucial role in that successful mission so we're "over the moon" about that.

Taking a sabbatical from guitars and music for a while but I'm interested in what you guys are up to. Rock on!

Just getting to know my recording set up. I'll post it in the studio thread.
