View Full Version : Brands you can always depend on

What brands do you feel confident you can always be happy with?
I say Ibanez is always dependable. I can always trust that I'll get what I pay for and will not be a "lemon." In fact, that is the only brand of guitar I will order through the internet because they are always consistant.
Peavey is another great brand as far as amps and sound gear goes.

I'll stay with my Rickenbacker.

Ibanez is a good one. I'd throw Schecter on the list.
Maybe Fender, once you get it set up right. (Their instruments are terrible out of the box.) They're pretty reiable instruments.
I'd like to think Gibson on this one. Any guitar that runs you $3,000.00 should be consistently awesome.

I don't know much about Rics or Shecters. I don't know why I've fallen out of love with Fender. I just know I wouldn't feel comfortable ordering one without playing it first. It seems like they are really vulnerable with whatever wood they can find at the time.
Never cared for the high-dollar Gibsons. They are good guitars, but I never thought they were THAT much better than their less expensive lines.

I'd love to be able to say GreTsch is one of those brands, but, unfortunately, they are not consistant. FMIC has made them better, but, still not what it should be. The hollow-bodies are worse than their solid bodied instruments. Their basses are all over the map.

I've heard that about Gretsch. Too bad that some of these brands are betraying their historic reputations.
